On October 4, 2024, the Image-Science Kft. team had the honor of attending the MAJOSZ Automotive Conference in Zalaegerszeg. As proud members of MAJOSZ, we were eager to participate in this prestigious event, held at the cutting-edge Zalazone Park—a renowned hub for automotive innovation and testing.

The conference provided a deep dive into current and future challenges facing the automotive industry, offering a platform to discuss a variety of topics shaping the future of the sector. Among the key areas explored were the energy market, the employment difficulties in the automotive field, and the evolving landscape of Hungary’s battery industry.

Key Highlights from the Conference

  1. Energy Market Challenges One of the most pressing discussions centered around the current state of the energy market. The speakers analyzed the ongoing energy crisis, focusing on how rising energy costs and supply chain disruptions are affecting automotive production. Participants exchanged insights on how automotive companies can navigate these challenges while pursuing sustainable energy solutions to reduce their environmental impact.
  2. Employment Challenges in the Automotive Industry The automotive sector is facing significant hurdles when it comes to attracting and retaining skilled workers. The conference featured a thorough analysis of this issue, emphasizing the need for new strategies to bridge the growing talent gap. Solutions discussed included adapting educational programs to meet industry needs, enhancing collaboration between universities and automotive firms, and investing in the upskilling of the existing workforce.
  3. Focus on Hungary’s Battery Industry One of the standout themes of the conference was the focus on the Hungarian battery industry. The Hungarian Battery Association (HU-BA) presented a comprehensive overview of the country’s battery production landscape, discussing both its current capabilities and the future challenges it faces. The growing demand for electric vehicles has highlighted the need for an efficient and sustainable battery supply chain in Hungary, and the discussion emphasized the importance of fostering domestic battery production to meet this demand.

HU-BA also addressed key issues such as resource availability, environmental regulations, and the necessary infrastructure to support large-scale battery manufacturing. The session provided valuable insights into how Hungary can position itself as a leader in the European battery market while tackling environmental and economic challenges.

We are excited to implement the knowledge and insights gained at the MAJOSZ Automotive Conference into our future projects, and we look forward to further collaborations with our partners in this dynamic industry.
