Remote coverage

Desktop (remote access)

Renishaw Raman instruments are ideally suited for remote-access diagnostics, service, and maintenance. Secure remote sessions allow certified engineers to monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and provide technical support without the need for an on-site visit. Regular remote checks help maintain optimal performance and can prevent problems before they impact productivity.

Online new user and refresher training

Remote coverage includes online training sessions for new and existing users. These sessions support continuity when staff changes occur and ensure that users can operate the system confidently. Training covers system start-up, basic data acquisition, and data processing functions.

Point release software updates

Under all service plans, your instrument is eligible for point-release updates of Renishaw’s WiRE™ software within the licensed version. These updates ensure software stability, compatibility, and access to incremental improvements, and can be downloaded and installed at your convenience.

On-site coverage

On-site service visits

During an on-site service visit, a certified Renishaw engineer performs comprehensive maintenance on all operational aspects of the system. This includes inspection, cleaning, calibration, and optical alignment of the Raman instrument to ensure reliable and stable performance.

Customer inventory

To maximise instrument uptime, Renishaw maintains a local inventory of critical hardware components. Where included, this service allows replacement parts to be supplied in advance, helping to return the system to full functionality as quickly as possible.

Qualification services

Formal qualification is essential in regulated laboratory and industrial environments. Selected service plans include qualification services during installation and scheduled maintenance visits, supporting compliance and long-term asset performance management.

Hardware cover

Fast-track repair

Renishaw’s global distribution and service network ensures priority handling of hardware repairs. Parts are shipped with the highest priority, while the UK service centre fast-tracks evaluation and repair processes. Replacement components are dispatched as quickly as possible to minimise downtime.
