TESCAN DynaTOM – High temporal resolution 4D X-ray imaging

Unique design for 4D dynamic imaging

DynaTOM is the first dedicated micro-CT system for fast dynamic in situ imaging.

Unlike conventional micro-CT systems, the X-ray source and detector rotate around a fixed sample.

Fast continuous acquisition

The X-ray source and detector can continuously rotate at temporal resolutions below 10 seconds every 360° rotation. This results in a continuous uninterrupted acquisition to monitor dynamic processes at spatial resolutions down to 2 μm.

Dedicated system for in situ imaging

The fixed sample configuration is ideal for the integration of peripheral in situ testing equipment like flow cells and compression stages, which are connected to high pressure tubing or sensor wiring.

This avoids cable tangling and other influences on the dynamic pro­cess due to the sample rotation.

UniTOM can reach true spatial resolutions down to 500 nm and can handle a wide range of sample types and sizes up to 40 cm in diameter and 50 cm in height.

Modular setup concept
