Perform sophisticated filtering, Fourier and fractal analysis, and statistical evaluation on individual or multiple profiles.

Enhanced 2D filtering techniques – eliminate form and apply roughness/waviness filters ranging from RC2 to ISO 16610 standards. Use morphological filters with straight or circular structuring elements. Denoise profiles directly by editing the FFT graph, setting custom upper and lower bounds.

MATLAB™ compatibility – load or write MATLAB™ scripts to execute custom filtering and other operations tailored to specific analysis needs.

Measurement correction tools – clean and optimize profiles before analysis using thresholding, manual editing, or resampling to address anomalies and enhance resolution.

Functional surface assessment – evaluate surface performance with bearing ratio curves and depth distribution histograms. Compare profiles by subtraction to study wear behavior.

Sliding profile extraction – extract subprofiles from a long profile using a moving window to verify tolerances along the length.

Fourier analysis – explore surface-process interactions and other characteristics using FFT tools. View frequency spectra, power spectral density graphs, and perform autocorrelation/intercorrelation analyses.

Fractal analysis – calculate the fractal dimension of a profile using enclosing box and morphological envelope approaches.

Virtual extension of measured profiles – join overlapping profiles to virtually extend the measurement range, with automatic identification of the overlap zone.

Statistical evaluation of profile series – load and analyze a sequence of profiles from 2D profilers or extract multiple profiles from a 3D surface. Use statistical tools—trend lines, scatter plots, histograms—for process monitoring or to increase result reliability across profile sets.
