Perform in-depth analysis, apply specialized parameters and filters for 3D (“areal”) surface texture characterization.

Subsurface analysis – extract geometric subsurfaces (e.g., component layers) from full surfaces segmented using the ISO 25178 watershed algorithm. Instantly calculate flatness and analyze subsurfaces with the same tools used for complete surfaces.

Extended surface texture and form parameters – access a broader range of parameters including ISO 25178 and EUR 15178 (Surfstand) functional volume, spatial, and hybrid parameters, as well as ISO 12781 flatness metrics.

Functional volume analysis (wear & lubrication) – visualize ISO 25178 and Sk volume parameters to support tribological studies. Assess peak, grain, or particle distribution and density for insights into surface function.

Morphological filtering – apply advanced filters like erosion, dilation, opening, closing, and sequential operations using planar or spherical structuring elements.

MATLAB™ compatibility & mathematical operations – run custom MATLAB™ scripts for advanced data processing, including filtering. Perform algebraic operations on images and surfaces.

Circular profile analysis – extract circular profiles and represent abscissa values in degrees.

Furrow analysis – identify and display furrows based on height thresholds. Compute furrow metrics such as maximum depth, average depth, and density.

Extended file format support – import data from commercial 3D scanning profilometers, confocal microscopes, interferometers, and other high-resolution imaging systems.
