Microscopy, Community, and Celebration – Highlights from MMT 2025 in Siófok

by ImageScience Admin

We were delighted to take part in the 2025 Conference of the Hungarian Society for Microscopy (MMT), held this year in the beautiful setting of Hotel Panoráma, Siófok, from May 7–9. Over these few days, the shores of Lake Balaton became a hub for innovation, discovery, and scientific exchange in the field of microscopy.
The conference brought together researchers, developers, and users of microscopy techniques across disciplines such as biology, materials science, and nanotechnology. With an engaging program of lectures, poster presentations, and networking sessions, MMT 2025 once again provided a valuable platform for sharing knowledge, exploring new methods, and building collaborations.
A special highlight of the event was the announcement of the Young Researcher Award and the prestigious 2025 Barna Árpád Award, recognizing outstanding contributions and promising talent within the Hungarian microscopy community. Congratulations to all the recipients!
We would like to thank the organizers and the Hungarian Society for Microscopy for a professionally organized, welcoming, and inspiring event. We truly enjoyed reconnecting with colleagues, meeting new partners, and exploring the exciting future of microscopy together.
We’re already looking forward to next year!
